Re-draw for Asia Rugby Newsletter, Lucky Draw

Unfortunately, Ishan informed us that he was unable to take up his complimentary tickets for the Hong Kong 7’s , but has very kindly offered to put the prize back into the pot!

Re-draw

As a result, a Re-draw was conducted and the second name out of the hat was Brian Wan Chung Yin from Hong Kong!

Congratulations to a very lucky Brian, and if he can contact us we shall arrange for him to collect his tickets for the Hong Kong 7’s (kind courtesy of HKRU).

Remember, there is another lucky draw for all new subscribers (together with any existing subscriber who refers a friend) which closes at midnight (HK time) on Sunday 2nd April. On offer to the lucky winner is a pair of tickets for the Singapore 7’s on 15 – 16 April  (kind courtesy of SRU).

2017 Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens

When: 7-9 April 2017
Where: Hong Kong Stadium

The 2017 Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens, organised by the Hong Kong Rugby Union (HKRU), marks the 42nd year of sevens in Hong Kong, with 120,000 visitors expected to attend the event.

The world-famous Hong Kong tournament retains its status as the largest on the HSBC Sevens World Series (HSBC SWS), confirming the tournament’s billing as being “Where the World Comes to Play”.

With the addition of the Qualifier, the Hong Kong Sevens remains the largest men’s tournament on the series, with 28 teams playing across three days. Including the World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series Qualifier, there will be a total of 40 international teams participating in Hong Kong during Sevens Week.

World Rugby Sevens Series Tournament
The 15 teams participating in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series in 2016/17 are:

Argentina, Australia, Canada, England, Fiji, France, Japan, Kenya, New Zealand, Russia, Samoa, Scotland, South Africa, United States and Wale s.

South Korea has been invited by World Rugby to fill the 16th team spot in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series competition in Hong Kong.
