UAE Rugby Federation’s Impact Beyond project gains more momentum with the delivery of 800 balls to the UAERF’s schools programme in public schools.

Mr. Salman Hadi, Vice Chairman of UAERF and Chairman of the Development Committee and Mr. Hamdan Suliman, CEO of UAE RF officially handed over 800 rugby balls to the Ministry of Education in Dubai. Ms. Aisha Al Siri, Director of Health and Physical Fitness in the UAE Ministry of Education and Mr. Ahmad Abdulrahman from the Ministry of Education’s Schools Sports department were in attendance to receive the new equipment.

Mr. Peter Moore, Programme Manager for the Physical and Health Education is responsible for overseeing the implementation of rugby in the National Physical Education curriculum and commented that the 800 balls will boost the Ministry’s efforts to expand the Get Into Rugby programme in public schools across the UAE.

“We are looking forward to September 2018 when the Get Into Rugby programme will be introduced in all Emirates for students from Grade 4 to Grade 12 boys and girls. ” said Mr. Sami Smara, Development Manager of UAERF.
