Squads named for round four of Asia Rugby Men’s Championship

15 June, 2019 in Asia Rugby Championship by Asia Rugby

The squads have been named for this weekend’s Asia Rugby Men’s Championship match between defending champions Hong Kong and Malaysia.

The match will be played at the Hong Kong Football Club, with the hosts looking for a second successive victory after their 47-10 win over Korea.

That win took them up one place in the World Rugby rankings to 24th, and the match this weekend will be another test against the much-improved Malaysia.

The hosts make 10 changes, including an entire new front row with Dan Barlow, Jamie Tsang and Jack Parfitt starting.

There are three positional changes too with Paul Altier moving from full-back to fly-half.

Elsewhere sevens star Seb Brien starts on the wing, with Bryn Phillips starting this week having come off the bench in Incheon.

For Malaysia, head coach Brad Mika brings in several new faces for the match.

Dinesvaran Krishnan captains the side once more after their week’s break.

The match can be streamed live on Asia Rugby’s Facebook page from 15:55 local time.
