Division III East South title Competitions Fixtures for Quarter 1

China storm to Division III ES title

China men’s side beat India 74-17 to lift the Asia Rugby Men’s Division III East South title.

It was their second successive impressive victory in the tournament after beating Indonesia 63-10 in Sunday’s opening match.

Matthew Holding scored 18 points with two tries and four conversions in the win against India with Haitao Zhuang and Yongqiang Chen scoring two tries each in the 12-try victory.

India’s tries were scored by Nitin Dagar, Pappu Todkar and Vikas Khatri and they will now face hosts Indonesia to see who finishes second.

On Sunday China beat Indonesia 63-10 to get their campaign off to a winning start including a hat-trick from Chong Ma and two apiece from Cong Zhou and Jovilisi Sadau.

The Division III East South  comes to its climax with India now set to play hosts Indonesia in the third and final match of the tournament.
