Asia Rugby Officials Appointed to RWC Duties

Asia Rugby sends its congratulations to the following individuals from our Unions appointed by World Rugby to roles at RWC 2019:

 

Match Officiating & Management

Shuhei Kubo (Japan)
Tasuku Kawahara (Japan)
Tim Baker (Hong Kong)
Matt Rodden (Hong Kong)

Judicial

Ms Wang Shao Ing (Singapore)

 

Medical

In addition to the numerous appointments of Japanese medical personnel under the supervision of Asia Rugby’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Mutsuo Yamada, the following were appointed as Match Day Doctor for Japan matches:

David Owens (Hong Kong) (vs Ireland)
Kenneth Wu (Hong Kong) (vs Samoa)
Namith Sankalpana (Sri Lanka) (vs Russia)
Azril Ali (Malaysia) (vs Scotland)

Alongside these appointments are various other opportunities for individuals from Asia Rugby’s Player Welfare & Medical community to understudy and gain match day experience at the RWC.

These appointments are an acknowledgement of Asia Rugby’s continued training programmes to upskill everyone involved in the Game and a testament to the quality of the above volunteer personnel, whom we thank for their continued services to the game.
