CASA Rugby Confirms Dates and Host for Inaugural CASA 7s Tournament in Tashkent

10 April, 2026 in Casa Rugby, Featured, News by Asia Rugby

The following press release on the Inaugural CASA 7s Tournament in Tashkent is shared courtesy CASA Rugby

Message from the President, Asia Rugby (Foreword)

“As Asia Rugby, we are pleased to support and sanction the inaugural CASA 7s Tournament, a significant milestone led by the CASA Rugby Alliance and a strong example of sub-regional collaboration in action.

This reflects a long-term vision for Asia, where sub-regional platforms such as the Southeast Asia Rugby Federation (SEARF) and now CASA create more regular, meaningful, and cost-effective competition opportunities for our Member Unions. I look forward to seeing similar structures emerge in West Asia as we continue to strengthen the game across the continent.

Asia is a vast and diverse region, and enabling unions to compete more frequently with their neighbours is essential for sustainable growth. Through these structures, Asia Rugby will continue to support clear and progressive pathways into regional and global competitions, including the Rugby World Cup, Asian Games, Youth Olympic Games, Sevens Series, and age-grade tournaments across both 15s and 7s.”
