World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series Qualifier

World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series Qualifier will be held on Thursday and Friday, 6-7 April, at So Kon Po. The Semi Finals and Cup Final will be played inside the Hong Kong Stadium as part of the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens.

The winner of the World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series Qualifier will be promoted to next season’s HSBC World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series, replacing the bottom-placed team at the completion of the current season.

The 12 teams participating in the World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series 2017 are: South Africa, Kenya, Jamaica, Hong Kong, Japan, China, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Papua New Guinea, Argentina and Colombia.

World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series Qualifier Draw Result

Japan top Pool A alongside Asian rivals China, Netherlands and Jamaica. Argentina lead Pool B with Kenya, Hong Kong and Belgium while South Africa are joined in Pool C by Colombia, Papua New Guinea and Italy.
