Asia Rugby U20 Sevens Kicks off In Hong Kong

Asia Rugby U20 Seven’s Kicks off In Hong Kong at the Kings Park Ground at 12:30 pm on the 10th of August.

Pool A will see top Seads and the reigning Champions Hong Kong  face Korea, Malaysia and Thailand

Pool B has last years Runner-ups and 2016 Champions Sri Lanka  who will take on Chinese Taipei, Singapore and China in the Pool games

Hong Kong who are Favorites to defend their tile won the 2017 crown in emphatic style with Fong Kit-fung the star of the show, scoring 11 tries to be the tournament’s top scorer.

Hong Kong U20

In last years Final Hong Kong defeated Sri Lanka 36-0  – the victory over Sri Lanka in the decider saw Hong Kong win back the title they held in 2014 and 2015

Asia Rugby U20 Women’s Sevens  Pools

The Women’s Championship has one pool, with Top seeds China  Favorites

Last years  Women’s title went to China, with a string of consistently high-scoring victories in the seven-team round-robin tournament. Their standout player was speedy winger Xiaohui Huang.

China team coach Jiale Ma assigned the success to “minimal mistakes, good communication and holding on to possession”.  China Will be hoping to Reagan the title but will face a strong challenge from host Hong Kong and as always a strong Thailand women’steam.

The top two teams after the Pool games will feature in the Final and the next two teams will compete for the bronze medal.
