Nepal Kicks Off Asia Rugby 2023 Sevens Season

The highly anticipated sevens season will commence with the thrilling Asia Rugby U20 Men’s and Women’s Sevens, hosted by the Nepal Rugby Association on August 19-20.

The U20 sevens tournament always promises an exciting display of talent, providing a glimpse of the stars of the future. Following the resounding success of hosting the Asia Rugby U18 Boys’ and Girls’ 7s competition in 2022, the picturesque valley of Kathmandu has become a must-visit destination for players and fans alike. The venue for this spectacular event will be the Dasarath Rangasala Stadium in Kathmandu.

U20 Men's and Women's Sevens

 

A total of 11 teams will participate in the tournament. In the men’s competition, teams from Chinese Taipei, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, India, Hong Kong China, and Uzbekistan will compete for the title. Meanwhile, the women’s competition will see the hosts, Nepal, taking on Hong Kong China, Malaysia, and Thailand in what promises to be a captivating battle.

U20 Men's and Women's Sevens

Although the reigning champions from last year, UAE men and women, will not be present to defend their titles, the return of 2019 champions, Hong Kong China ensures that the competition will be fiercely contested and keep fans on the edge of their seats.
