The return of China and Japan in both competitions adds fresh excitement. Hong Kong China’s girls will defend their championship title; unfortunately, last year’s boys champions, UAE, are missing from the lineup up giving 2024 runners-up Hong Kong China a chance at redemption. A historic debut for Qatar’s boys team also highlights the growth of junior rugby in West Asia.
With China’s home court advantage and Japan’s competitive legacy, combined with promising performances from Malaysia, India, and the rising Central Asian challengers Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, the stage is set for a thrilling weekend of rugby.
